With the big day little more than a week away, it just doesn't seem possible that the Festive Season is once again upon us. It's been a strange year, unlike most of us have ever known, and I think the only saving grace is that it's passed so quickly.
Like everyone, we've been stuck at home, very few opportunities to go out, go for a beer or for a meal and most of us have probably seen less of our families than we would in a normal year and of course, there are the cancelled holidays. We lost out on three holidays and I've worked from home since mid March.
A huge thanks to everyone who has contributed to AFA in such a difficult year, with shows cancelled and spotters being unwelcome at many fields for obvious reasons, few of us have had our aeronautical "fix" in 2020.
So, whether you are a regular poster of movements, logs, photos, etc, or a casual user who drops in from time to time, thanks for making AFA a friendly place for us all.
From myself, and the superb admin team of Jeff, Bill, Bob and Mark, we wish you and your families a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy, Prosperous, Healthy and Covid free 2021.

Although not a regular contributor, I try to check in daily to keep up with all the happenings. Aviation - especially AFA - is excellent ‘brain food’ and a perfect distraction from life on the ground.
Wishing you, Graham, and all others in AFA a superb ‘21

Thank you chaps for the great replies, it's never bothered us as the admin team how much or how little anyone contributes, it's the sum total of every member's input and the vast knowledge pool we share here. It doesn't seem possible that AFA will be six years old in January, time has flown by.
I certainly echo the sentiments for "a better 2021", I for one can't wait to dust off the camera and get snapping at Yeovilton, RIAT and the rest so let's keep our collective fingers crossed!

A very merry Christmas to everyone from me as well and I can't wait to say 'Good Riddance' to a rotten year on New Year's eve and hope that, as 2021 goes on, things will get much better and hopefully with a good deal with our close European neighbours so that, when all this crap is over, we can visit these countries and practise our hobby with the minimum of delay & hassle.

Merry Christmas to all on the forum, been good to post a few old logs recently.
Here's hoping that 2021 is a year when we can hopefully get back to some normality.

Thanks Martin, yes, the old logs section has proved very successful, we have Jeff to thank for that idea.

Hi Folks,
Just a few days left now of 2020, probably the most irritating and frustrating year for our generations.
But despite all the things that have happened, we all seem to be in one piece and still enjoying our hobby. Long may that go on for many years to come.
So Merry Christmas everyone and Happy New Year to one and all.
Stay safe.
Bill
