fancied a little trip out which I had planned for Saturday but fell through .still did manage to do kirkbride,Carlisle,glassonby,cark,Manchester and barton. the weather was crap wall to wall fog with the odd blue patch now and then .whilst at Carlisle I took the opportunity to go to the museum must say it is worth a visit aircraft outside were... WE188 CANBERRA T4 WV198 SIKORSKY S55 remember this as G-BJWY WP314 PERCIVAL SEA PRINCE T1 bit unusual on this aircraft it was still fuller configured inside the forces tend to take all this out ZF583 BAC LIGHTNING F53 XV406 McD D PHANTOM FGR2 WS832 GLOSTER METEOR NF14 XS209 HUNTING JET PROVOST T4 WZ515 DH115 VAMPIRE T11 E425 HAWKER HUNTER XJ823 AVRO VULCAN
there were a few inside as well... G-ADRX HM14 FLYING FLEA WB670 DHC1 CHIPMUNK
there is also a building which is home for restoration work which is not usually accessable to the public but many thanks to the lovely Stephanie I was granted access G-APLG AUSTER J5L WZ792 DHC1 CHIPMUNK WB584 DHC1 CHIPMUNK G-BDTT BEDE BD5B this is the one that was hung in nightclub and has never flown G-BNNR CESSNA 152 I was told this was G-AFGM which is a cub solely on the basis an aircraft part with that reg was hung on the wall G-BRHL BENSON B8

Bob, Went to Carlilse last year but did not have a good look at the Museum- need a few out of the ones being restored- I am heading that way in July to see the open golf so I may pay a visit and hopefully see Stephanie so I can get around the restoration area. Happy Days Bobster
