Been going through some old logs and have made it up to 1990 when I made my first trip to the US. I was 20 and had not yet passed my driving test so booked the Aeroprints trip that included all transport.
Hve added some photos, appologies for the quality as using my phone as scanner has given up the ghost.
Part 1
5/3/1990 Made at Gatwick that morning were
D-BOBO DHC-8 102 Cirrus Air
G-BMMZ Boeing 737 2D6 Dan Air
G-BNCW Boeing 767 204 Britannia Airways

G-BPKB Boeing 737 4S3 Air Europe
G-BPKE Boeing 737 4S3 Air Europe
G-TKYO Boeing 747 212BF Virgin Atlantic
G-VOYG Boeing 747 283B Virgin Atlantic
G-VRGN Boeing 747 212BF Virgin Atlantic
N647US Boeing 767 201ER US Airways
N670US Boeing 747 451 Northwest Airlines
N7000C Grumman G3 Private
PH-ZCK Fokker F100 Air Europe
PH-ZCM Fokker F100 Air Europe
VR-HOR Boeing 747 467 Cathay Pacific Airways
We travelled on 1980 vintage 747-200 G-VRGN that ended its days with Kalitta and I saw it again as N618FF, N526UP and N708CK. Typical 80's IFE TV in cabin roof and a few music channels available through the armrest.
Our desternation was Miami and I can remember landing on runway 27 with a Pan Am A310 on a parallel approach on 26. There was little time for spotting as we needed to catch the flight to Orlando. This was on Pan Am 727-2 N4736, sadly one of the ex european machines. I remember the flight being overbooked and was touch and go if we would make it.
Made at Miami were
9Y-THV Douglas DC-9 83 BWIA West Indies Airways
N124AA Douglas DC-10 10 American Airlines
N201EA Airbus A300 B4-103F Eastern Airlines

N970ML Douglas DC-9 31F Midway Airlines
PJ-SEF Douglas DC-9 82 ALM Antillean Airlines
VR-CAB Boeing 737 4Y0 Cayman Airways
Of course we also got a tantalising view of the many propliners.

C-GNDM Boeing 737 242 Canadian Airlines
N226EA Airbus A300 B4-203 Eastern Airlines
N459AA Douglas DC-9 82 American Airlines
Oh for FR24! Our hotel was the Ramada Hotel. Of course legally I could not have a drink, but nobody ever seemed to ask for ID. It was only when I came back to the UK 2 years later that I ever got asked for ID!
6/3 a trip to the Magic Kingdom and again oh for FR24, only thing logged was N800LP Skyship 600!
