I can't ID it but wonder if it's one of the aircraft occasionally heard droning over London, usually too high to see. As you say, the aircraft doesn't appear on the popular sites. I found this interesting page back in 2016 which mentions Islanders being used for covert operations which could be connected.

Hi John.
The only Islander I had on my box yesterday was G-BIIO BN2T of Gama Aviation, it was not showing reg or callsign on the box and was only at 225ft probably departing Lee on Solent at about 0920 ish..
Maybe of some help or not..

Thanks Foxfire and Chris for your replies
It looks like my suspects are Gama's
G-BIIO which went directly to Cumbernauld from Lee-on-Solent
G-BJEC ex ZH537
G-BJOH ex ZF573
G-BSAH ex ZH536 from Bournemouth reports this was active at the right time and potentially from what could be the right direction so is a possible
I'm presuming there are no more UK military Islanders?
Just bad timing my camera battery gave out as I spotted it high but silhouetted, rarely see Islanders.
Regards
John

If it helps, I put this together for FC a while back to assist in identifying these sneaky Islanders:
G-BIIO BN2T Islander cn2102 white with wavey red/black/red stripes on fuselage and three wavey lines on tail
G-BJEC BN2T Islander cn2118 white with two red stripes fanning out onto the tail
G-BJOH BN2T Islander cn2034 as BJEC but with blue stripes
G-BSAH BN2T Islander cn2235 same scheme but opposite to BIIO black/red/black
Cheers Mark
