For the third weekend running I met up with Rob Belcher as in normal times this would have been the Jodel Fly In and the BBC weather forecast for Sunday was for wall to wall sunshine,WRONG AGAIN,it was cloudy with sunny periods, quite warm when the sun was out, bloody cold when it wasn't.
Visitors:
G-KDOG Bulldog (painted as XX624) G-CTAB Bellanca 7GCAA G-JUFS Rallye TB9 Tampico G-LARA Robin DR400/180 G-BWMB Jodel D119 G-TERO Vans RV7
Resident replica Spitfire G-CIXM/PL793 nearly came to grief,it got airborne and the engine stalled, luckily he got it down in one piece, managed to restart and taxied back to the hangars.
There appeared to be a Sleap Airfield fly out as 6 of their based aircraft flew overhead heading south:
G-XRVX Vans RV10 N22NN Cessna 182P G-ORVE Vans RV6 G-LASR Glasair IISRG G-BRFB Rutan Long-ez G-OZIE Jabiru
Also Lasham were launching gliders like it was going out of fashion and a few overflew Popham:
