Have just got home from spending three very enjoyable hours in the blustery sunshine at Popham. Log and photos to follow but wanted to say how good it was to meet up with some old friends, Dave, Viv, Bill, Jeff and Lord Evan Elpuss, plus some new ones for the first time, Slideman, Malcolm, Buster, and "TSR2" Chris. Another gent did come over and say hello and I apologise as I can't recall who he said he was, although he did say he posted on here occasionally.

Hi Graham Looks like you captured G-EVLE with his owner. I don't suppose there was an engine about to be attached?? it seems to have been grounded quite a while www.melvynhiscock.com/aviation.htmlBe nice to see it in the air again. Hi Malcolm Your mates DA-2 is a distinctive and very rare aircraft in the UK it's had owners based in Thirsk, North Yorkshire, Perth Scotland and currently West Yorkshire so it's probably not surprising that a lot of southerners will be interested in it. I wasn't there to see it today, hopefully he'll make another trip to Popham some time. Regards John

Shame that G-MAGZ was just an overflight (nice shot of it flying over) Hopefully one day it will actually pop in to Popham! On the subject of Popham overflights, it was nice to see a DHC-8 that I flew SAM-MAN in fly over today, this was G-JECJ.

A great day's flying today in G-EFCM in formation with G-BPFL. Just amazed how many paparazzi around my mate's DA2. Great to bump into so many people I knew at Popham and Compton Abbas today. Identified Graham entirely from his avatar, and Buster….well, entirely. I guess flying in formation helped you find Popham..

Hi John, I didn't see an engine for EVLE in the hangar although I couldn't see all that was in there. As said, was great to put some names to faces and thanks to Malcolm for "pointing Buster out", once seen, never forgotten...;0) ( and that's with regards to the t-shirt Buster...)
Roll on the Micro Fayre, hope to see some familiar and new faces there too.
