Hi to All , I am looking for some help with a software/computer/radar box problem please . The Gatwick Aviation Society (GAS) made a program available free to everyone some years back . This was Active Display Light (ADLight) and one of it's functions was to up date the SQB file so that registrations rather than hex codes were displayed . There were problems later on and GAS shut down the program ( I put this in simple terms) . One function of AD Light is that one can update the SQB file manually which is far safer than other methods ( so I am told) . I have AD Light on an old IBM Note Pad and it works but he IBM is old , has Windows XP and is slow . I wish to have AD Light on a laptop running Windows 7 . Still old but better . Now I have gone to the IBM's location , disc C , and copied the AD Light onto a stick which I put into the Laptop and copy it across . When I try to run the program I get a caption saying ADL has stopped working , a problem caused it to stop and windows is looking for a solution . It never does probably because it is no longer supported . If I do not get that , then I get - ADL can not work because a file is missing . The ADL works on the IBM so am I doing something wrong in my transfer or is there some imbedded program that I do not copy when I try my transfer ? My knowledge of these things is somewhat limited so any help greatly appreciated , thank you . I wish to use the W7 laptop so that SBS is kept separate from my W10 machine . Thanks again . Chrisj
