I hadn't visited here for the best part of 20 years so as we both had the week off, and the museum has recently undergone a big expansion, we decided to take a drive down. It's about an hour's drive from home and once we were on the A303 at Mere, it's no more than ten minutes to get there. There's a large free car park, as we arrived just after opening time at 10am, we were amongst the first ten or so vehicles there. We were able to go straight in, it's £16 per person and if you do the gift aid thing, you get a year's free pass. Masks need to be worn but I'm sure we're all used to that by now. Well, it was certainly a lot bigger than I remembered it to be, we took our time wandering around and spent three hours there, after which we had a bite to eat in the very good and reasonably priced restaurant. The arc lighting in the new parts of the museum are a bit of a bugger for photography, but the older parts still have flourescent strip lighting making things easier. As with many museums, some of the exhibits are crammed up tight together so I took my 10-18mm wide angle lens which enabled way more decent shots to be taken than with a standard 18-50mm I took well over a hundred and twenty photos, far too many to upload but here's a link to my Flickr page where they all are. www.flickr.com/photos/brownieboy27/albums/72157719456145296

My pleasure Bob, no AC Cobra unfortunately, my dream car but there was an AC Ace there and a Corvette Stingray, a close runner up.
