Does anyone else have a problem today? Firstly, had about three tries at getting it to load on my PC, then when it does finally load, it's not showing any aircraft. Same on my mobile.

Bit of a 'No Go' this morning when I was out and about down here in North Devon , but seems fine now . I think all of these very useful aids have their down days but I find having several at hand can get around these temp . problems . Chrisj

Massive problems with FR24 & ADSB earlier on today but looks like there are now running ok although FR24 is having trouble loading photos when you click on a plane.

Thanks chaps, all OK this morning, maybe they were tinkering about with the server or something?

Problems again just now with FR24. On a daily basis recently it has been going down for a while.
Still down, for me.

It seems to be back up now, though Cloudflare had a good look at me before letting me in. As usual FR24 is almost completely silent on what's been going on, with their forum and blog saying nothing. There's little clue in their tweet about it as well though I suspect a Dedicated Denial of Service (DDOS) attack.

I appreciate that FR24 offers a massive amount of info regarding fleets, history of each aircraft's flights, a replay facility and more, but for someone like me who really just wants to see what's about, then these days it's PlanePlotter and ADS-B Exchange for me. If those two don't show it, then it's not in the air. Each to their own naturally,

I agree with Graham here, I have a whole bank of VRs on my phone and tend to use each one differently, I do still stick by 'Adsb flight tracker' on android for low level stuff as it seem to pick up a lot more than the other VR, even picks up stuff my sbs doesn't, yes the graphics look like an 80s atari game but the info you need is all there

That for me is the only downside of ADS-B Exchange Jeff, the graphics are awful, maybe if feedback is received then the guys who run it might listen.

Chaps,
I’ll hold my hand up. I’d sent them a message that morning asking them to correct the contact for SE-LAI to G-CKYJ….
It only changed to G- a couple of years ago and every time it takes off from BBS I see SE-LAI, and get all excited!!!
So sorry guys…. 😂

The graphics are crap though, Looks like an early 80s Pacman console

Agreed, but it just makes your eyes bleed after five minutes, mine do anyway.

I use both FR24 and ADS-B Exchange, hardly ever PlanePlotter. FR24 has the very useful playback facility which ADSB lacks, whereas on ADSB you can switch off commercial and see only military traffic.
I have noticed recently that FR24 is picking up more military stuff and is right now, 9am, showing Hawks over North Wales and an F15 flying circuits near Lakenheath.

The only thing I have noticed these past few days with FR24 is that the various location names have changed font to one where the letters are outlined in white . It took a moment to get used to but no problem . Like others I use several of the available VRs as not all show everything and it is handy being able to quickly switch from one to another in the hope that the seen aircraft has a plot with details . The people who make these available have a very big task so inevitably some data updating will be required but provided a plot has an ident it can be cross checked . Being somewhat 'long in the tooth' ( or few teeth left ) I do remember when we had to note , on paper ( remember that ? ) details and wait months for a publication to give details - if any . Personally I am very grateful to the suppliers of these aids and if I can , I cross check the given details although this is not always necessary . Now all I need is for the many light aircraft and helicopters locally to plot !! Happy spotting to all . Chrisj
