61-2667 WC-135 was of interest when I had a quick look this afternoon. Also noted were 2 Wisconsin KC-135R's which I couldn't read due to heat haze. There were 2 others parked with them on the A1101 side of the field I would be grateful of i/d's if anyone knows what they are.
Thanks

Thanks for the info, sorted our what I needed. When checking through my logs for 61-2667 a WC-135W of 45RS~55SRW 'OF'. I noted that this was a Mildenhall based EC-135B with 10ACCS which I noted at Mildenhall on 29Apr89. This must have been a late replacement aircraft as I noted all the others on the 1970's and the 10ACCS disbanded shortly afterwards. Still nice to catch up with aircraft many years later. I always follow aircraft through their histories, logging them everytime I see them.

It was a WC135B (until later converted to a W) and was loaned as such to the 10th ACCS at the Hall for crew training/continuation in 89/90 (it arrived on 22 April 1989) to save hours on the based EC135s. Their hours were very high due to an earlier requirement (by then lapsed) for them to have one EC135 constantly airborne. It never had the lumps & bumps, aerials etc of the EC variants and retained the air sampling scoop. I first saw her at the Hall way back in August 1967 with the 55th Weather Recon' Sq (and in 1980 at it's then home base of McClellan, Ca) and photographed her there a couple of times but also when she was in the static at the St Mawgan show in August 1990 showing her air sampling scoop in the open position. Her latest visit this year was reportedly in connection with sampling for possible nuclear leaks from the breakdown of the Russian submarine Orel in the Baltic. 90-ih by dave tompkins, on Flickr
