Indian AF C-17A CB-8010 will be arriving at Brize in less than an hour's time (as at 17.24BST). It is rumoured to be staying until Saturday.
This is its first visit since its delivery on 12/09/2014.
Said to have on board a Spitfire and Westland Wapiti for restoration (where?). These are possibly NH-631 and K-813 respectively, both from the IAF Museum at Palam.

Hi Guys, Here’s one of the pieces of cargo. I didn’t see NH631 at the IAF museum… So if anyone does find out it’s restoration destination please let us know. Cheers. Bill

Likewise Bill. I went to Palam museum in Jan 2019 and the Spitfire was not on display. Perhaps as it was maintained as airworthy it wasn’t kept in the museum?
Hopefully the C-17 won’t leave too early tomorrow and I might go en-route to Popham!
Cheers

I was at Palam in 2005 and Spitfire NH631 was in the Historic Flight hangar with the other airworthy aircraft next to the Museum itself.
