A great log Phil and quite a few gap fillers for me there too. Planebase gives the following BAPC numbers for your last few entries
Antonov C.14 - BAPC.374
Falcon 4 - BAPC.372
Felixstowe F5 - BAPC.390
Kiceniuk Icarus 2 - BAPC.364

Managed to squeeze in an hour at Flixton 22/06/22 Well worth the visit, but I would have needed a good few hours in here do all the displays and reading material justice, lots of it on a wide range of interesting subjects www.aviationmuseum.net/index.htmlThe small restoration hanger had what appeared to be a well built folded G- reg Tiger Moth in Silver? which is not in their listing. Any ideas? They also appeared to be working on the early stages of a Hurricane I P3708 John

Nothing on the Planebase Flixton list for the Tiger Moth John I'm afraid.

Hi John Back in January the restoration hangar held wingless Terrier G-ARLP which was all silver. Not to question your recognition but being wingless (and hence apparently open cockpit) and missing other bits it didn't then look like a Terrier at first sight. Just a thought.

Found a picture on-line of RLP taken a while ago at Flixton if it rings any bells, though probably not. www.flickr.com/photos/62861611@N08/51765631766

Hi Dave Thanks for the reply G-ARLP Terrier was in the hanger with the Autogiro's The aircraft in the restoration hanger was at the far end and facing away from me, looking at the photo again I can see that the wings aren't folded, just stored separately at the sides of the fuselage, the wing struts aren't right for a Tiger Moth either so small silver biplane with black letter G showing is better description Apart from G-ARLP as an addition to ZZ's list there is also a Lightning cockpit XP743 as below and that was in the main hanger suffolkmuseums.org/firebird-at-flixton-new-exhibit-at-norfolk-suffolk-aviation-museum/Regards John

Thanks Graham I couldn't spot the mystery aircraft, so emailed NASAM and they came back quickly with the details
G-NSSA SHERWOOD RANGER XP part built
It wasn't their aircraft, but was in for very short term storage only and was imminently moving out.

These were the pictures I meant to post a year ago, but have been reminded by John's update! They're not the best, as were taken on my phone as I ran round in the rain (see Bob, I do get rained on!) and the snaps inside are very crammed! However, they do help show the quality at the museum - its definitely worth a visit if you're out that way ( not too far past Mildenhall/Lakenheath !) Great pictures Phil, even though it was raining- but not like the exhibits are going anywhere It has got to be one of the best museums in the country- it was a pity the proposed Wallis Collection did not go there instead of gathering dust at Old Warden- where no one can see them. Happy Days Bob

Cheers Bob. I didn’t know the Wallis collection was at Old Warden. Fortunately saw them all when on a LAAS visit to Norfolk and the man himself showed us around his collection!

Cheers Bob. I didn’t know the Wallis collection was at Old Warden. Fortunately saw them all when on a LAAS visit to Norfolk and the man himself showed us around his collection! Phil, His collection has been at Old Warden for about four years since he died- I need the majority of them, and a few years before he passed I did write to him at Reymerston Hall asking to view them- sadly though he was going away on the day I wanted to visit, but he wrote me a nice letter with a picture of Little Nel in. Apparently there are plans to exhibit them somewhere maybe at Old Warden itself but we shall see. Happy Days Bob

Lovely shots Phil, just love the Sea Vixen, surely one of the most graceful Royal Navy planes ever? When we were kids growing up in Basingstoke, my dear old dad worked at what was in those days Kelvins on Winchester Road where he was a machmeter calibrator for Sea Vixens, Hunters and Javelins I believe. The Sea Vixen was always his favourite aircraft and although he was never a spotter as such, he had a huge interest in all things aviation and took me to several shows right back to when I was only 5 or 6 years of age.
