We went down to Salisbury a few days ago and as were driving down into the city on the Amesbury road past the sports ground on the right, there was a Spitfire mounted on a pole. The traffic is usually nose to tail down here but it was moving quickly so I only managed to catch the code which was JE-J but the reg was high up on the rear fuselage and impossible to read off. I've no idea whether this was a mock up or a real Spit but would anyone know its reg please?
