Just got back from a nice weekend in North Yorkshire staying again at the Gisborough Hall Hotel- the weather was not very good although the rain did stay off- and all we had to deal with was very strong winds- started off badly on Friday - planned to go to Bagby en-route but stayed on the A19 instead of coming off at Thirsk- so never mind got to the hotel, put the bags in our room- and consumed a few beers. Saturday- we headed off to Scarbrough via Whitby and advanced planing allowed me to see at the Scarborough Union Rugby Football Club at Scalby the following two needed Sea Kings:- XZ589 (E) ZE370 (T) The rest of the day was walking on the beach, visiting Robin Hood Bay, and driving up the coast then back to the hotel for more beer. Sunday - the plan was to go to Fishburn and Wheat Hill- went to Fishburn and although the Cafe was rammed-all the hangars were firmly shut- how it has changed since my last visit. Anyway the following three entered the book:- N737CN- C172 XN458 - Jet Provost J1790- Venom The wind gusts were between 45-55mph so decided to give Wheats Hill a miss- and headed off home- where I was rewarded with a Lear Jet 60 9H-VMG inbound to LPL. Great weekend apart from the weather. But a nice six to swell the numbers. Happy Days Bob
