They used to wake me up around 06:30am on their cargo run out of LHR to Orly!!
Can't remember exactly, but I think that I saw about six of the Air France ones.

My only example of Air France's first 'double decker' aircraft was F-BACC which I saw at Fortenay Tresigny in July 2001. In use as a restaurant, at least at the time it was.

Big old birds for sure those Deux Ponts, made a Bristol Freighter look attractive....;0)
I only saw three of the twenty that were built, all at Heathrow, mid sixties.

Never saw any at Heathrow, but saw F-BASN, O, Q, U, V and X at Orly in 1970-71 have a couple of slides in and about the hangars- when you were able to get around the hangars at airports. Happy Days Bob
