I was in my loft at the weekend and I came across a wallet with some of my old airline tickets so I thought that I would put them on here.

Of these airlines, only six still exist, Air France, KLM, Aurigny, Bahamasair, CSA and British Airways. Caledonian, Skyways, British Caledonian, Dan Air, Aer Turas, Monarch, Northeast, British Island Airways, Eastern Airways, Laker, Panam, Eastern Airlines, Air Florida, Chalks, Caribbean Airways, Airlink, Continental, Mexicana, Air Europe, Air UK, Air 2000, British Midland, Airworld, Buzz (pre Ryanair), Airtours, Caribbean Star and Thomsonfly make a total of 27 now defunct airlines. Also on the KLM ticket was a return leg on BEA. Strangely I never flew Panam but I booked flights from Miami to the Bahamas before I left the UK so the Panam ticket contains the Eastern, Bahamasair and Air Florida flights but why they were in a Panam ticket, I've no idea! Since the end of paper tickets, I've flown a few more airlines that have gone like Northwest, Sky Europe, My Travel, German Wings and Norwegian Longhaul. So much has changed in the airline world since that first flight over 50 years ago.
