Looks like a good trip - did anyone take a team photo with the participants and names. Not stalking you but may help recognizing members in the future. Happy Days Bob

Nobody took a team shot of group members, but you’ll find most of them on a Crimewatch line-up… Failing that you’ll have to come on the next trip!

I wish I’d known about this, was it a group trip Keith, It was well advertised on the Forum News section by Phil (ZZ) from the 5th of November regarding a visit to the location- and asking for numbers of members who wanted to attend. Due to work and travel commitments I was unable to go. Happy Days Bob

I wish I’d known about this, was it a group trip Thats a great shame you didn’t see the posts, Keith. I didn’t need many but it’s a brilliant facility run by great people. Next time, mate. Bill

I’d seen all the frames before, but needed several in their latest identity-
OO-SEE, OO-KNG, G-SEAK, G-SKNG, G-LNKX, G-CGGK, M-LIFT .
Then I’ll need to see the Belgians AGAIN when they’re on the British civil register - I forgot what Peter said they were to be registered. And I’ll definitely want to go back if they get a Cobra…

Peter also mentioned that they might get their hands on a Huey. I remember about five or six years ago I was parked up on the little business park at Sparkford, this is on the right before you reach Haynes Museum, it was a glorious day so I took a stroll along the footpath which runs down the side of the helipad and there was a light green Huey there, looking rather forlorn. N338CB which is now by all accounts stored at Church Fenton.

Thanks to those that made the trip , for photos and report . I was not able to join the trip which I am sure I would of liked to see the fellow ex 22 A Flt people who form many of the engineering staff at Chard . I have a note of G-FLKI S61 as being another of their fleet and it is at Newquay and has been flying these past few days . But I may be wrong on the ownership !! Chrisj

I know Peter said that one of their Sea Kings was now away for the winter months but I didn't hear where.

Hi Graham , I think the S61 is one that may of been operated from Penzance at some time but I am not 100% on that . I have not visited Chard ( only seen the TV series) but I think they do not have much under cover space for this rapidly growing fleet and that may give problems . Chris

G-FLKI isn’t one of the H.H fleet. I think it’s operated by Bristows or British International Helicopters or one of those type of operators.
Historic Helicopters’ fleet are all restored ex-military and the one that was missing for our trip was G-CMDO, being hangared at Yeovilton for the winter.

Thanks for that . I had read some place that the S61 was one of the Chard collection and I thought it strange as a type and it's location . Chris

RS-04 Westland Sea King Mk.48 OO-KNG, ex BAF
This has been restored to the British register as its original identity, G-BDNK. It was first registered as this in Dec 1975 and cancelled June 1976.
I wonder if OO-SEE will return to G-BDNI.
