This colourful set of cards was released in 1936 and depicts fifty of the most famous names associated with the early days of aviation. Carreras was an English cigarette manufacturer who also released card sets in Australia and Canada, their most famous brand being "Black Cat". Like most card issuers, they were printed in their millions and some of their sets fetch not much more than a few quid a set. This set in VGC would sell for about £85 today as one of the rarer ones amongst the dozens issued. 20220113_143511 by Graham Brown, on Flickr 20220113_143527 by Graham Brown, on Flickr 20220113_143538 by Graham Brown, on Flickr 20220113_143547 by Graham Brown, on Flickr
