Phil, Can you you drive up to the top of the Multi Storey at Elmdon - the last I heard was that you had to park up on the lower levels. Also how much do you have to pay- I have not been to the Multi Storey car park for a few years and then you could have a quick look before driving out. Happy Days Bob

Hi Bob
Yes the top 2 levels have been closed off for a couple of years, but you can get high enough to see pretty much everything. It’s a pay and display car park- I don’t know how much it is, as I’ve never been there for more than 20 mins so I’ve never paid!
That’s not saying you don’t have to pay- I just haven’t for the brief stops I’ve made!
Cheers Phil

You can still park up in the slip road adjacent to the old terminal, not sure for how much longer. From there it's a short walk to the multi story. Sadly they have recently erected some buildings blocking off the ground level view to the ramp and engineering hanger, but they don't impact the view from the car park. Also increasingly service vehicles are parked impinging views to the aircraft from the gates at ground level spoiling photo opportunities. Spotters are still tolerated rathered than welcomed but it's becoming less and less of an enoyable experience and feels only a metter of time before the area will be fully restricted.

Thanks- I used to park in that slip road and climb up the spiral steps on the old terminal- but thats going back quite a few years- any stops I have made in the past were very short like Phil, but I used to go on top of the car park which was always frequented by local spotters. Appreciate the feedback. Happy Days Bob
