25th Feb 2015 - road trip and encounter with village idiot

I remember this as being a day off work, it was sunny, so decided on a whim to take a drive to see what lady luck might bring me. I began the day's proceedings at Sparkford where I'd heard about a Huey languishing around the back of the old heliport hanger. I walked down the public footpath alongside the hanger and there she was. This is where I had the incident with the village idiot, a spotty teenager who walked up to me and demanded to know what I was doing as the path was private.

"No signs to say it's private", says I to which he asks me again after telling me that the path belongs to his Dad and that "no one else is allowed to use it" except him (Dad) and me (the village idiot). This time I told him to mind his own business, to which he pulls himself up to his fully inflated height of 5ft 6in and nine stone and starts swearing at me. I walked calmly back to my car, I mean, let's face it, he could've had a samurai sword under his jacket for all I knew, but of course, he won't let it go and follows me to the car whereupon I tell him he's got five seconds to f*** off before I call the Police. That appears to do the trick as he retreats a bit, I start the car, wind down the window and pull away to a background of swearing and wild gesticulating from this total twat.

Anyway, onto to Henstridge where as usual, hanger access was flatly denied so I had to be content with seeing what was around the field via the bins.

Westonzoyland next, first time of visiting, all the little boxes were locked up but the chap allowed me into the Flexwing hanger where I did make a few. Last but not least, Yeovilton, round the back lane by the church and reversed down to the fence where a good haul obligingly hit the book.
