This was an Auster or Gazelle (or both?)fly in or something like that if I recall, I remember quite a few AFA-ers went along. After we'd had a good look around, some of the lads did a tour of the AAC Museum but as I'd only recently visited, I headed for home via Keevil.

It was the Gazelle 50th anniversary fly-in at Middle Wallop.
I think the Auster gathering was due to them being a predecessor in the AOP role?

I spent that morning at Lakenheath to see the last of 18 MO F-15s arrive, then had a mad rush to Middle Wallop for the event.
I missed XR267 /G-BJXR Auster, as I have at a couple of events… still need it!
