4/5/22 - Seen from the Woolston Bridge, overlooking Berth 34 at SOUTHAMPTON DOCKS, was the above Sea King on a low loader having left Dunsfold last week. Personally I was really pleased it was still visible, a friend used to fly it and I used to work at Dunsfold but had never got around to getting back there. Happy days.
It had been suggested it’s off to a tech training school in China but I can not confirm that’s the case, more likely another glamping pod given it’s a VIP one 🤣

Lads, I have a call tomorrow at a customer on Floating Bridge Road, Southampton, Woolston Bridge pretty much goes over that road, if anyone knows that area, where would I be able (hopefully) to see the Sea King from please?

Graham You may see it from the bridge ? but if you go over the other side (have a look on Google Maps) to Victoria Road,Woolston, ( to Victoria Road Car Park opposite SOUTHAMPTON SAILING CLUB) .their is a long jetty (not open)if you look across it is easily seen, take you binoculars to give a clearer view.
PUT Southampton Sailing Club, VICTORIA ROAD,WOOLSTON into your Sat Naved

The issue with the sailing club is the helicopter might be obscured if a ship is in. I parked here (50.8979345, -1.3762800) and walked up the bridge to see across. It’s free parking for an hour. That was a week ago so it may have moved on by now.
