I bought a Canon EOS 60D a few months ago which utilises the larger and thicker CF type card rather than the more conventional and widely used SD cards. Major disadvantage is that you can't remove the CF card and upload the contents straight to your PC via a card reader slot on the PC or laptop the same as you can with an SD card, you have to connect the camera to the PC with a lead to transfer the photos.
Looking on Ebay, I see that you can now buy adaptors, these are CF sized but you can slot an SD card into them, take your shots, and then upload them to the PC by removing the SD card and placing it into your PC's card reader as normal.
Has anyone used one of these and if so, basically, do they work?
Thanks

I use a CF card reader connected to the PC through USB, I'd imagine they're more reliable than the adaptors which may also compromise the speed of the card.

Sent off for a card reader and it arrived Sat morning, very pleased with it and it's miles faster than connecting the camera up to the PC for the file transfer. It takes all types of card, brand name is "Kingston" and have to say I'm impressed with it.
