I could only make day 1 of this two day event and it was yet another event in this country ruined by the weather, the wind was very much stronger than had been forecast (no surprise there then) which led to a number of cancellations including three from Belgium.I logged everything that arrived for this event and my logged is from 09.00-13.30
G-AFYO Stinson Voyager HW75 G-BZRV Vans RV6 G-BIAP PA-16 Clipper G-BMSA Stinson Voyager HW75 G-AWEV PA-28 Cherokee 140 G-BRUG Luscombe Silvaire 8E G-ADKC D.H Hornet Moth G-UPFS Waco UPF7 G-ATEF Cessna 150E G-CLFG TL Ultralight TL-3000 Sirius G-NCUB Piper J-3 L-4h Grasshopper G-AGMI Luscombe Silvaire 8E
I don't know how many arrived after I left but I have seen a picture online of the Popham based Staggerwings NC18028 in the line up.
I also made three departures out of Heathrow.

Thanks for the list David. I went on the Saturday and as you say the wind turned it into a wasted journey. I thought it was a shame that some of the more interesting Waltham residents couldn't be included in the line up especially as the event was supported by the West London Aero Club.

It's a pity the weather ruined it Dave- would have made none from your list apart from the Finnair A350- so would have been an expensive day out for me albeit if I had of gone- would have made a few at some of my planned stops. Happy Days Bob

It was a shame that the hangars were shut,I feel that they could have had the doors open just enough to see inside and maybe a list put up on the hangar doors.

I agree Dave- but it did say on the Air Britain website that the hangars would not be open- remember during the LAA at Sywell when you could walk around the hangars and there were lists outside- but the last two I have been too you could not walk around anymore. But that's life and at least you got a few when you got back to your home base. Happy Days Bob

I remember at a Biggin Hill show way back in the 70s, various hanger doors had been left just slightly open and some kind souls had placed a small blackboard outside each one with a list of what was inside. A group of so-called spotters were in front of me, and when they'd all taken a look inside, one of them rubbed out the details on the board. They did that for every hanger. Hopefully they died a slow painful death.

I remember when I went to the Air Fair in the late 1960's walking around the hangars and taking photos - no problems then. Happy Days Bob

I went on Sunday for this event and only 2 turned up plus a couple of helicopters for fuel. I got more OTT and out of Heathrow. Quite breezy with the wind down the runway, a few residents were flying with no problems.
