hi, so there is 9, so the odd one as spare, in the aircraft list for 2012, they are all down on the flight line, pity that spare could not be in the static...but if its spare its got to be available. In recent years some teams and solo's were at the east end, so photographable,
getting excited now, regards, dave...

Just checked my Military list for 2012 when they were last over here. I was informed they had crashed one of the team since then (10-0054). They are all the same except for '3' 15-0084 and '8' 10-0060

hi, the a/c listed for RIAT2012, had 10-0051-59, so as you say 10-0054 crashed, but 10-0055 is not accounted for, so we have 15-0084 and 10-0060 in, anyone know what happened to 10-0055...
regards, dave...

10-0055 is still operational with The Black Eagles, they have 12 aircraft assigned. Info from the Scramble military database. You don't have to be a member to access it. Try www.scramble.nl/

In addition to the fatal loss of 10-0054 another Black Eagles T50 suffered a high speed tyre failure on take off at Singapore Changi on 5 February 2018. The aircraft slewed off the runway overturned and caught fire. I've never seen a serial for that one. It was either subsequently repaired or the later sightings of all of the BE fleet (other than 0054) shown on Scramble contains a mis-read. Anyone know?
I hear that they are due to practice at Boscombe today and tomorrow.

The NOTAM for the Black Eagles practices on 4 & 5 July is none too time specific, simply banning flying below 10,500 feet in a 5 mile radius of Boscombe from 07.00 to 17.00. If their routine is anything like that at RIAT 2012 it will be well worth watching. Probably the most inventive I've seen.
