Having failed in June to get around Worleston and Ashcroft Farm due to weather with both being closed or owner on holiday, I managed this week following a few e-mails and telephone calls to gain access to both.
Worleston (Dairy House Farm)Not a lot here but made three:-
G-CJBE- Ikarus
G-LIFB- Vixxen
G-TNJB- Pegasus Quik
Also here but not needed were:- G-LOUS- G-CDTU- G-CDNW and G-IAJS.
My next airfield and the first visit since 2014 was:-
Ashcroft FarmMade the following six here:-
G-BGVY- AA5
G-CKVP- Calidus
G-CMBO- Vixxen
G-CSDR- Crusader
G-PPOD- Europa
G-TBLB- Pegasus Quik
Also here but not needed were:-G-CGTD, G-CCTP, G-BITO, G-CEWL, G-CLEI, G-AWOU, G-AWWN, G-BPYJ, G-OGAN and G-CEHT
The AA5 was at the airfield in June when I had my failed visit and was confirmed by the visiting aircraft log in the Tower- if you ever go to this strip- don't go on speck make contact with the airfield owner Steve.
Ash House FarmJust up the track from Ashcroft is another strip, and as a result of what Steve had told me I drove up as I had seen a car out side the one hangar which when I got up to the hangar I was allowed to view the three occupants which I have been asked not to publish, but they were all very nice aircraft and I needed one.
Then I returned home picked up my beloved and went to visit the in-laws- after which paid a very quick visit to:-
LPL (General Aviation)YU-GIN- C525
N3498F- C182
Then it was home for a nice curry and a few beers coupled with a bit of TV.
Sunday it is cloudy with the odd bit of aqua however one in the book inbound LPL.
Happy Days
