Hi folks
I know many of you are also ex railway buffs. I'm heavily into Urbex though I prefer to watch from the comfort of my sofa. Anyhow, if you're into disused railway tunnels then you might like to take a peek at this from deepest Wiltshire. I find most of their videos crap because their videos are so often disjointed - however, this one's good. I was going to ping this one to you privately Graham but I reckon it's worthy of a wider audience!
Cheers Keith

Thanks Keith, I knew that the tunnel housed a shooting club and range but had never seen inside. It must have cost that chap a fortune to build that mezzanine floor to house the 50m range as well as everything else. The other end of the tunnel is just bricked up ( that's the other end as pictured on the video still above) and exits close to Hillworth Road, where the old track goes beneath the road and through a cutting adjacent to the Southgate pub.
Did you know that the Lamb Inn in Devizes has a shooting range too? As you enter the front door, the bar's to the left but there's a room to the right with a hole in the wall. The hole contains a metal tube that leads through the walls to a target about 30ft away. How that came about is a mystery and as far as I know, hasn't been used for years.

Cheers Graham - that's interesting and it's amazing whats hidden in plain sight. Years ago I used to belong to the Old Admiralty rifle club which is 8 floors below ground and directly under Admiralty Arch.
