Apparently Russian airlines are running low on brake spares for the stolen Western airlines, telling pilots to go easy when braking. Hopefully they will soon be suffering big style and turn against Putin.
But long term they are stuffed; which leasing company will ever again want to do business with Russia?

Reported elsewhere that Aeroflot is already having to canibalise A350 and Sukhois.

As and when all this is over and done with, what will Russia do I wonder? Its name is worse than SH*T on the global stage and surely, all legal means will be taken to recover all these stolen airliners and as Phil remarked upon above, no leasing company will touch them with a barge pole. Maybe they have a large, mothballed secret fleet of AN-2's ready to step up to the plate? ;0)

Looks like they are going back to home builds.. Aeroflot's top priority is to get a new fleet from UAC by 2030: www.revistaflap.com.br/aviacao- ... ar-voando/ 73 SSJs 210 MC-21s 40 Tu-214

hi, i saw a news item recently about the russian designed/built MC-21, it contains western parts, and they've developed a engine and is being test flown on the 2 a/c already built, but the engines still contain western parts. Now they were able to reverse engineered the B.29 into the Tu.4, but todays engines, can they?... I suppose Siberia and its salt mines are a good enough incentive...but security at RR should be stepped up.
regards, dave...
