My first visit for some time, weather was awful, misty, drizzly, low cloud so spent most of my time in AV8 with a cup of tea and a bacon ciabatta. Two frames here I needed as I hadn't been in since they arrived plus the recently arrived B747 and the Mauritius A319 which was wearing a new reg since I last clocked it. Good to get a shot of the Twin Star although I had seen it previously. A Cirrus and a PA28 through the zone made it a very worthwhile call.
I didn't need any of the Phantoms or Buccaneers
Photos to follow.

Morning Graham,
Did you take these photos with your new camera and lens?
Great visit/report mate.

Hi Bill, yes, I'd had enough of the Lumix and as you know, flogged it and went back to the trusty Canon DSLR and some lenses. I picked up the Canon 60D on Ebay with a Canon 18-135mm lens for £200, the camera had only taken 7k shots so was well pleased with that deal. I used the Sigma 150-500mm for the first time yesterday and had rather forgotten what a blinding lens it is, but had also forgotten how heavy it was, like carrying a bazooka around all day! ;0)
The Sigma was a steal, it was on auction on Ebay and I paid just over £200 for it. in immaculate condition too.
The Lumix was fine for taking photo of Wells cathedral, the dogs or some scenery, but no good at all for aviation.

Hi Keith, no matey, no idea. Apparently it stands for waste of f*** ing money, the owner has a good sense of humour!
