Hi All , A recent request on the LAAS site for the identity of an unknown aircraft with-in the scrap area of Kemble , prompted me to look in depth at the posted photo and compare various posted lists as to what was being chopped about the time of the requested visit which was the RIAT week end . I concluded that the unidentified aircraft was a Canberra in the hemp camouflage . I can only think it was XH135 which does not seem to be listed as at Kemble anymore . I have not seen this listed on various logs for the Kemble scrap compound so is it possible for a 'local' or frequent visitor to confirm this please ? Thanks . Chrisj

I believe that the fuselage of XH135 has sadly been scrapped. However, the cockpit section and engines were supposedly saved and have been moved to West Raynham.

AS always , thanks for that 'zz' . The chap who made the request on LAAS had sent a photo that he took . All that could be made out was the tail with rudder turned , and part of a wing showing engine cowl . This was one which so far I have not found listed on any lists for scrap at Kemble so may be of interest to those who keep such records . Chrisj
