Until a few days ago, my mobile phone's PlanePlotter installation was set to only show "interested" frames, so essentially, if an aircraft displayed on the screen, then I knew that I needed it. However, something has changed these past few days and I don't know whether I have inadvertently altered the settings, or whether there's been a change to the programme.
It now shows everything and of course, because of this, the phone's screen is cluttered and it makes it way harder to determine whether I need a specific frame.
Does anyone on here use this phone app please and if so, do you also have the programme set for "interested"?
Yes, I could ask on the support forum but all you get back is the standard smartarse reply "read the manual" which I've done and still can't figure out why my display has changed and what I need to do to get it back to how it was.
Thanks for any help.

Seems to me from an SBS side of things that your SQB file isnt marked with interested/not interested. Once I've logged something in plane base the tick ✅ dissappears from the SQB meaning I no longer need the aircraft and as such it no longer shows on my SBS screen. Is there a way to update interested via PBLink on the mobile?

Hi Jeff I update PlaneBase on a weekly basis, by that I mean I run the SQB creator which I then copy and paste to my phone. After running Planebase, I then run the SQB creator for PlanePlotter mobile which always asks first if you've updated Planebase first. So, I also build the PlanePlotter mobile SQB which is also copied and pasted to my mobile. I'm not doing anything differently from what I've done for nearly four years and I haven't mucked around with the various settings so I don't know why suddenly the phone is displaying everything rather than just "interested". I managed to find a question I was brave enough to post on the support forum nearly four years ago where I'm pleased to say that a kind chap called Ray told me what the PlanePlotter mobile settings needed to be in order to show just "interested", I've looked, the settings haven't altered which is why I'm baffled. groups.io/g/planeplotter/topic/29986429

Found this on the user group, not sure if it's rekated?
Planeplotter PBMobile Android users Hi All,
The next release of PBMobile will be released in the next few weeks and there is one important change that android users need to understand before it is released to all.
Google have made security changes in the next Android release which affects the way an App accesses the device storage (where the PlaneBase Mobile folder is located) basically at the moment any App that has been allowed access to device storage can access all folders held within that storage location so in theory could access photos documents etc, PBMobile does not do this and has only ever had access to the PlaneBase Mobile folder and if installed the PlanePlotter Mobile folder to allow changing the BaseStation.sqb interested field when logging an aircraft in PBM.
Unfortunately due to these security changes by Google PBMobile can no longer access the PlanePlotter Mobile folder, I have been in contact with Google to ask for special permissions to allow this to continue but the answer was no, so I am afraid this feature will no longer be available for any Android device in the next PBMobile release, I am looking at other solutions and I will let you know of any progress.
The location of the PBData files have also changed to comply with the changes Google have made to the Android operating system, more info on this will be in the release email sometime in the next few weeks.
So just to confirm the above, in the next PBMobile release Android users (all devices and Android versions) will no longer see the interested field changed in PlanePlotter Mobile when logging an aircraft in PBMobile.
Regards
Nic

Thanks Jeff, that sounds like it might have something to do with it, having said that, I don't know when the last release of PBm was when this change was going to occur but my mobile was still showing interested aircraft until 5 or 6 days ago. Is there anything else on that thread above you found from PBm users?
Cheers

Thinking about it, I did have a large update on my phone last weekend so maybe that's the root cause of the issue. My phone must've updated to the latest Android 12 release. Any idea when the post you copied here was done please Jeff?
I've taken the plunge and asked on the user group. God help me.....
