hi, i've just found www.airframes.org/again on a links page on donny radar, and i;ve tried it 2-3 times and it works... so this and blackswan.ch/aircraft should cover any info required. regards, dave...

Dave , I have used airframes for some years and whilst it is generally very good I would advise another data base for double checks . Sometimes it is not updated very quickly . We all have our own ways of recording sightings , I use ADS-B for overflying traffic and note the displayed type . It is not always possible to positively identify some overflying aircraft so this note is handy . At times , for instance , I note a Gulfstream 6 but airframes gives another type , especially as some registrations are reused over and over again . So a further check , even google , helps . Just be careful ! Chrisj

I believe it went offline for some time Dave but reappeared a couple of years ago. There is a link to it on our navvy bar if anyone wants to use it.

hi, chrisj, yes i'm thankful that UK reg's are one and only, not sure if any other countries are, whilst the dreaded lurgo was/is here i started making a list of foreign lights i'd seen over the years, then filled in the c/n's. Then doing the US realised they can carry over to different types, so for not thinking of adding a year seen by the reg. i'm going thru them again, but that's filling in on the cloudy days...(your never to hold to learn) in my case.
regards, dave...

Yes Dave , a never ending task ! I can't recall just when I started sorting my logs but it was a while back and there is no light at the end of the tunnel ! In my early days I did not keep logs as such so for those days I do not have dates seen nor locations . This has resulted in gathering the WLAG downloads , the BARG and Air Britain cds as well as LAAS magazines some of which are available to members to scroll through . All take time but as the days draw in and more clouds gather ........ Take care . Chrisj

Chris/Dave, if you ever need con numbers for anything just shout as PlaneBase lists just everything ever made, with full con lists. Also lists all the aircraft that have worn the same reg for example in the US,
