The Jersey Aircraft Registry has been closed down following the recent cancellation of ZJ-THC. Just 4 aircraft placed on that register, with ZJ-THC being the first in Nov 2015, and the last to remain.
£1m+ spent setting it up and running it.

What a monumental waste of money Phil, with the success of the 2- register next door in Guernsey, it makes you wonder why it was even set up in the first place.

Yes all a bit silly!
I guess it was set up because they saw how well the new Manx and Guernsey registers were doing. I have no idea of the financial or tax benefits offered by the Jersey register, but 2- and M- had the obvious advantage of offering a four letter registration and a prefix that you could make a good registration out of!
ZJ-xxx seems to offer very little of interest!

Never liked it personally. Always sounded to me like it was from a far-flung African state…
Mind you, I regularly scratch my head, almost in disbelief, when I see how many 9H- aircraft are now on the Maltese register and don’t even get me started on the T7 (-YOURAVINGALAUGH) register…. At least Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man have airports….
I’ll have to check, not sure I ever saw a ZJ-
Hope the weather clears up…

ZJ-THC was the only one I ever saw, not sure how many were ever on the register to start with, wasn't many if I recall.
