Graham….dont forget - Oaksey remains closed to drive-in visitors! Cannot see this changing in the foreseeable, either. Difficult enough for flying visitors now, too.

Morning Graham, thanks, I didn't realise. What's happened?

A legacy of the pandemic, I think - plus concerns re theft of aircraft parts (pre pandemic a few airfields had issues and I think some nefarious types were spotted ‘scoping’ ) so the owners prefer to be careful now.

Time to round out the month, and it's not looking as good as last year. The month of March yielded 64 a drop of 38 on 2022, with an overall total so far for 2023 of 234, against 2022 figures of 324...Clear skies are needed to stop the rot, let's see what April delivers..

Just asked Planebase about March and rather surprisingly, I made 106 frames and 17 scrapes so nowhere near as bad as I thought. The total was helped by quick visits to Kemble and Staverton, plus the two days in London with the firm where about a dozen LHR inbounds were logged as they buzzed over Docklands. I didn't make a single frame at LCY.
