hi, as you say a problem for us, hopefully we will get a chance to see the changes at RIAT, in the tanker section, if all goes well...i admit i have a lot of trouble with the US Army helicopters serials, even if on static displays. Also if they start using the cloaking devices on the ground as well as up there, will will be in the well known street... regards, dave...

I had a couple of posts sent to me on this a few days back and did pass it on to a 'local SW' group . Only USAF/AMC was mentioned as removing markings . One of the posts had a photo of an all grey KC135 landing some where . No individual aircraft identification was visible . It is suspected that the block on the left side of the cockpit would be the only place containing any serial number ! I think there is to be a very small USA flag in the fin and a much toned down 'roundel' on the frame , probably in grey but near to same tone as the rest of the aircraft . All very helpful . Bit like the removal of USN markings years back where some Orions had the serial on the inside of one nose wheel door . What happened to those polished silver aircraft with bright squadron markings and huge 'buzz' numbers ?? Progress !! Chrisj

hi, chrisj, "Bit like the removal of USN markings years back where some Orions had the serial on the inside of one nose wheel door . What happened to those polished silver aircraft with bright squadron markings and huge 'buzz' numbers ??" all safely stored in my memory, and something else which was better years ago...
and Jeff, that will do it...
regards, dave...
