I had a couple of calls in Gloucester so paid my first visit here for a long time. I have to say it was very quiet, and a few changes since my last visit. There was nothing whatsoever on the main ramp or by the fuel pumps so I drove around the back, parked up and took a stroll. A109 G-IVIP was running up on the apron by the tower, there was a DA40 in the hanger there which resisted identification but nothing else. So, I walked the line looking through all the gaps, there were several Cirruses parked outside but I only managed to ID about four of the eight or nine, as they were parked nose or tail on to me. The Babcock hanger had at least three helis inside but no chance of any ID. The Heliwest hanger was also closed up tight. Pleased to see that the plastic sheeting has been taken down from the fence past the Babcock hanger but apart from one cocooned frame, there was nothing of interest. I did make three frames, so quite content with those. If anyone has any idea as the the ID of the cocooned aircraft, I'd be most grateful. 22 Mar 2023 Gloucester Staverton
