I wanted to fly in a CRJ so I selected a flight that was operated by the type 95% of the time, Munich to Zurich. I booked BA flights to Munich and from Zurich. My cousin decided to join me and when we checked FR24, we saw that our flight was allocated to an A319, the only non CRJ flight of the week! On the night before departure however, we received an email saying that we had been transferred to an evening flight that was a CRJ flight. The downside was that it made our connection quite tight at Zurich but our Heathrow flight was delayed by an hour so all was well. We set off for Heathrow in the early hours and made a few before departure aboard G-EUUB

On arrival in Munich, we took the S Bahn to Beshucherpark and ascended the mound overlooking the field. There are four aircraft preserved here with spurious registrations.

After breakfast at our hotel, we went to go to the viewing deck in Terminal 2 but it was closed because of a strike by security staff until 2pm. Instead we returned to the mound until 2.30 and then had some lunch in Tante Ju's cafe at the base of the mound. We returned to Terminal 2 where the viewing deck was now open.

So it was mission accomplished in the end, albeit not exactly as planned but with 142 made, a successful couple of days was had.
