hi,
again from nsn, info for any in the flight path...
An RAF Squadron has announced they will take part in a 'secret' second Coronation flypast after the main flypast over Buckingham Palace. 72(F) Squadron, based at RAF Valley, Anglesey, where Prince William was previously based, will fly over parts of the UK as part of a carefully planned, but previously unknown, Coronation flypast on
Four Texan T Mk 1 aircraft will take part in the second flypast after they take part in the Buckingham Palace aerial tribute to salute King Charles III.
RAF Valley said it was proud to have King Charles III as their Honorary Air Commodore. Leading the second flypast will be Wing Commander Chris Ball, Officer Commanding of 72(F) squadron.
The Wing Commander said: "All of us taking part in the flypast over London and Buckingham Palace are conscious that this is a huge privilege.
"As we make our progress back to RAF Valley we were very keen to also share the experience with as many locations as we can en-route, so the aircraft will remain in formation throughout. It is also our way of saying thank you to those in North Wales and the wider region who support us and all we do here at RAF Valley.
The Chester Standard said 72(F) squadron will fly over the Wrexham AFC stadium at 3.39 pm to salute the club on its recent promotion to the football league.
After Wrexham, the planes will fly over Chester before flying up the River Mersey to Liverpool and then over Wirral to Wales.
As they head into Wales, they will pass towns including Prestatyn, Rhyl, Colwyn Bay, and Llandudno.
The final stage of the flypast will include a trip to the Isle of Man where it will fly over the war memorial at Douglas before returning back to Holyhead.
