Oh! That is clever. But Luton and Cardiff are Red too. OK, it's not important :-) Are you sure your looking at it right Bob? i don't know. All I know is that apart from the 'No posts' and the couple where I was the last contributer, the following have Red Globes still. From the top - Blackbushe, Visits and Logs, Cardiff, Anywhere else, Luton, and Any queries or help. How can I be different? I use Google Chrome rather than I.E. to view.

I havnt changed anything except the pic, all the setting are the same! go to the bottom of main screen where the "recent posts" links are, there is a "make all forums read" link, click on that then all globes should go red......then wait for someone to post and it will go green.

I see. OK. I always view from the 'Recent posts' link, rather than trawl through different forums as you know, hence my plea for clearer subject lines!). Always wondered what 'Mark All Boards Read' did. :-), and I don't know what 'RSS Feed' does???

lol, ok, well once you have read it its not new anymore and will go red, (even if you read it from the "new posts" link) it will stay green on any other peoples page until the time they read it.....if fact I did it specifically because of of your plea! a quick scan down the globes now makes it easier for you to find the new posts :-)

Not sure if he's boooted you all off the FB page too, but I'm still on there and see his comments!

I made my final post on his FB page the day he closed the FAB forum and told him he was selfish and totally unreasonable, but I least I exited myself and didn't give him the satisfaction of deleting me from the group. If he's so glad he's out of all the "crap" with us "idiots", I wonder why he's still sitting on the old Fab forum plus the new one on createaforum.com which he started a few days ago? At least WE don't have to read his crap is the way I tend to look at it. I'm glad he's found true and lasting happiness, but I wonder how long it will last for before he gets pissed off with the FB page? ;0)

The old site is now Registered Only, no guests viewing!
I was slowly copying my stuff across, but can't anymore! The forum appeared to be a ghost-town of a site, very little viewing, and even less posting!

If there's anything anyone would really like copied across from the old board that they can't themselves, send me a PM and I'll see what I can do (haven't been banned.... yet). I can't do a massive amount, not got a lot of spare time, but I'll give it a go if needed.

It appears Tony has now deleted all the threads in the Blackbushe section apart from 3, 2 of which I started.

Chopboard,ALL the Blackbushe threads have now gone. There is a message on there that someone emailed him accusing him of using bad language, the trouble is it is only Tony who is likely to read it! As stated VERY FEW posts on there, almost all from Admin anyway,a one man band.

Is this the old FAB one falcon or the new one he's set up on createaforum.com? Just curious really, I don't see how anyone can have enough time to run two plus a Facebook page as well.

I think Graham, it is the original one, seems to be all of the existing forums etc, but I could be mistaken, perhaps the more observant amongst members could clarify this, but you were not asked to log in as previous, when you were told no guest viewing, but as I say, I stand to be corrected.

You're right falcon, I just had a look, the "new" forum he set up on createaforum.com just seems to be sitting there doing nothing, with just all his rules, demands and regulations to view. The old FAB forum seems to be going again minus all those who were booted out. He probably got cheesed off talking and posting to himself.

Perhaps 'misdeeds' was the wrong word to use, stupidity would be better.

Crikey, it changes by the minute over there. I don't revel in anyone's misfortunes but whatever has happened to him is 100% self inflicted.

I wonder why it all has to be so complicated? People just need to be able to read, or to post. We have already had 100's of guest visitors here who haven't registered, but what's the big deal? They might decide to register one day, or they might not. They cause no harm to anyone.

What amazed me was, when guests were not allowed to view, how do you know, if you can't view, if you want to sign up, no logic in that one.

I could never undertand Tony's objections to non members being able to access the site or to those who read the site but rarely or never posted. Thing is that he changes the rules every ten minutes and rarely makes any sense when he does. He's bleating over there about people "letting him down" and "rubbishing his name" but maybe he should take a moment and take stock of what he did almost two weeks ago. 1500 people no longer have a forum to check into, bearing in mind that some of these gents are in their 60's, 70's and 80's, possibly infirm and depend upon such sites for their daily fixes of all things aviation

I do understand the closing of some sections of some forums to visitors, for example, sections where there may be info that's not strictly classified, would be best if it couldn't be found by any old idiot armed with a PC and Google, but that doesn't really apply to forums that are based on a premise such as this - aircraft spotting (focused on regs, photos etc) in a particular area, and so there's no real reason for them to be closed.

Exactly Graham, I am 80, have arthritis in both knees and unable to travel here there and everywhere, so I rely on various sites to get my 'fix' and to keep up to date with what is going on in the aviation world, particularly in my neck of the woods, Farnborough, where I can see Biz on short finals (when they are on 24) from my lounge window.

What a difference in the way this site reacts to comments and you know who!!!!!!!!! When he was threatening to remove those who did not post, I replied saying that I was not able to contribute because of my health problems, and that it would be unfair to kick me out because I was DISABLED. Heavens above, did he let me have both barrels, I must not bring the word disabled into the conversation etc etc, you would have thought I had committed a heinous crime. Although we don't meet face to face, one can feel the friendliness in the comments of this forum. Glad you started this forum Graham, keep up the good work.

So glad you feel at home here falcon. I remember seeing those comments he levelled at you and thinking there and then that there was absolutely no need for them.
