Arrived home from Austria, via Munich on Saturday afternoon. Made a few at Munich and landed at Heathrow about 3 aircraft ahead of G-XWBP on delivery, so was fortunate enough to catch that.
45 mins at Popham on Saturday afternoon on the way to picking the dog up from the kennels, allowed 14 new G- to be logged. Then another hour on Sunday, and 11 more G- were needed. The best being G-ASCH Beagle Terrier - always nice to catch a needed G-A !

Monday 21st an interesting variety. Began on the crazy golf course with the grandchildren with Aw109 G-OFFC and EC135 G-SENS in close proximity overhead. Then over lunch at the Lookout Cafe at Biggin Hill a very smart C195 G-BSPK arrived. Then once home I made 2 Mexicans and two B787s. and having been unable to see this inbound, UR-CBG AN12 caught droning across Kent outbound.

I had a work meeting at a pub just outside Buckingham yesterday, all quite relaxed and beautiful weather so we sat outside and during the hour and a half I was there, I made three frames and a scrape flying through the zone. Loads of gliders about too but I didn't need any of them.

Not checked in since 4th, so a few to catch up on. In the meantime I was away for a couple of weeks in Argentina on a hastily arranged family trip (wife is from Buenos Aires). Very little spotting opportunities, save for a couple of hours in the vicinity of the domestic airport Aeroparque Jorge Newberry which is like shooting fish in a barrel, though I imagine an Argentinean pitching up at Stansted and logging a bunch of Ryanairs and Easyjets would seem exotic to them. I'll post a separate log for those, so here's a UK catch up.

As expected, August was the worst month of 2023 so far, mostly poor weather although there were a few half decent days chucked in at random. I made 72 frames and 23 scrapes, mainly from home, with a few thrown in for good measure when I was in Bicester earlier in the month.
