I drive past Upavon several times a month ( the main A342 road divides the base in half), I was on my way home yesterday so decided to park up in a layby and see what was about. There are about a dozen civilian registered gliders based here as well as five RAF machines. After the gloomy weather it was good to see some aerial action but as the based gliders drift over home all the time, I didn't make anything. Only the RAF gliders were airborne, no sign of any of the civvies.
