Thursday night saw the 20.30 arrival of 2 out of 3 B-2's currently on detachment in Keflavik
CRAG21 B-2 82-1070 "Spirit of Ohio"
CRAG22 B-2 90-0040 "Spirit of Alaska"
A NOTAM went up that EGVA would be open 1700-2300UTC, but WITH the possibility it was only to be to cover diversion for the B-2's sortie in the afternoon.
But both turned up on a "Hotfuelling" , ie engine running refuel eventually taxing for departure at 2230.
This exercise could be repeated during the Icelandic detachment with a 2 hour ground run.
Ironically a fair bit of added information was available from FR24 from the BIKF dep and arr info. Once on the ground they came up on the EGVA dep info.
Both the above have visited the UK before, the 3rd aircraft is 88-0331 "Spirit of South Carolina"
