Thanks Dave, the sore throat developed yesterday, feels like it's been sanded down with very rough sandpaper. It really does just feel like a very rough head cold but neither of us has a scrap of energy. Just pisses me off that you take all reasonable precautions to avoid it for three and a half years then get it from some bloke on the flight home, I wonder how many more he managed to infect?

Well, having successfully avoided Covid for three and a half years, home tests yesterday showed beyond doubt that the good lady and I have finally succumbed to it. There was a chap coughing and spluttering all the way home from Crete last Tuesday, two rows behind us so more than likely that it came from him. Seems to manifest itself as a severe head cold, running eyes, rasping cough, a runny nose and total lack of energy so we won't be heading back to work tomorrow. Had my 3rd encounter with Covid three weeks ago, having thankfully avoided it for the worst times and until being vaccinated. Your experience is pretty much the same as mine, however unlike the previous bouts I am left with an after effect of blocked ears which comes and goes, so will have to see what the doc makes of it, and hopefully get something to sort it out. Hope you both feel well soon with no afters.

Thanks Deke, seems crazy to catch it after four jabs and completely avoiding it for so long, particularly as you say when it really was at its worst in 2020 and 2021. Hope you get your ears sorted out.

Four frames yesterday, the A321 came up from TLS making for DUB, no chance of seeing her on that leg but she then returned to TLS and flew across to my south before doing a sharp right for home. The Apache was another ticked off the list, as with her sister ships, they come down from Wattisham to the Salisbury Plain ranges or Keevil and go over the house at no more than a couple of thousand feet.

Well, the weather today which was forecast to be dry, clear and sunny has once again proved to be completeLy wrong, it's been dull, cloudy and cool so I think I'm safe in posting my September totals. September in general was slow so I can thank the ten days in Crete for a decent total.
