hi, and its still raining, and seeing my last request turned out good i thought i'd try a punt with another associated with the 50th D-Day question... i asked this on FC back in 2016, i saw 2 VH-3D's fly over going out to the George Washington, a answer was 159353, 159354, 159359, arrived at M'hall on 3/6, and 159352 on 4/6. pm on 5/6 two flew as Nighthawk31-32 to France, and eventually flew back to the US from Paris, the other two went back from Brize Norton. On the morning of 5/6 two were at Lee, and then at 1340 two landed on the sports field in Pompey, but its not known if they were the same... now my thinking is, did they land to pick up POTUS +wife, and take them to the GW, to go to Normandy? or was this where the 6x CH.47D's Nighthawk 33-38 joined 31-32 to fly them there. So after setting the scene, does anyone know the two VH-3D's identities... i know, but i've not seen many VH-3D's. and its still raining. regards, dave...
