hi, i've always been pro Boeing, ie "if it aint Boeing, then i aint going"... but news out of Boeing since the max8 grounding just seems to go on and on, the 777, 787, work practice problems, the re-drilling of off set holes in the pressure bulkhead, finding loose bolts, now this plug on Alaska's max9... what has gone wrong?
regards, dave...

Notwithstanding all the Boeing issues above - there was a far more disturbing issue reported on the ABC News feed last night about Boeing seeking safety waivers from the FAA for the Max. I read the full text of the safety waiver that Boeing are seeking for a known fault that they will rectify by 2026. This is not good enough and even Max pilots are uneasy. I've searched today on ABC News for a link to the news story but it's not on todays ABC pages that I can see otherwise I would have added it to this sad story. If any of you guys can find the ABC story then it should be heard.

I think this is the same report www.seattletimes.com/business/boeing-aerospace/boeing-wants-faa-to-exempt-max-7-from-safety-rules-to-get-it-in-the-air/

This is very sad. May 1990 we visited my sister in law in Seattle. Her husband was an engineer for Boeing and he managed to show me a few areas not open to the general tours of the factory, all very interesting. I remember him being very proud of the company.I asked him his opinion of Airbus and he thought they were built to a price, no way would they last as long as a Boeing, he stated. How times change.

It does make you wonder about Boeing’s quality control.
