Thanks for bringing this to light Jeff . This is similar to the disappearing Rotax engines and whilst not good for owners , this sort of activity will probably bring a restriction on the ability for true enthusiasts to visit airfields . Sorry to say that this is an ever repeating tale going back many years . I hope the person (s) conserned get caught soon . Chrisj

hi, a great pity that, always had a good reception there, and as said enthusiasts will be hit hard again... but when i saw this post my initial thought was surely there was security present or patrolling, as it says the R.22 was out ready for a early start...

Yes , Dave , one of my early thoughts was about security at the 'field' . I always think that Blackbushe and Elstree must be vulnerable to light fingered visits during closed hours . As others must also be . Blackbushe is very open and has a fast road right by it - good for a quick get away ! Elstree is tucked off the beaten track so nice and quiet at night !! I hope the culprit is sorted soon . Chrisj
