FR24 is showing VP-BDA B787-9(BBJ) due Saturday 20th Apr 2024 circa 11:30.
This would be the second B787 for dismantling following N987BA in the States recently.

It has just sixteen and a half hours on the clock and has been stored at Basle for the last 9 years after Kalair went bust soon after it had been delivered there. Never fitted out internally she is an empty white painted aircraft. What a waste.

I saw it land this morning - quite a crowd but a bit chilly. Some people in T shirts and shorts though most sensible people chose to wrap up - as despite the sun shining and clear blue skies - that wind was cold!

News locally is that the engines will be removed and the ship placed in to storage, although I assume that will be outside. Can see her gradually making her way to the Belfast apron though, what a terrible waste

One of those odd days at Kemble…4 biz flights (CS- PHY, D-IGEL, G-FLYW and G-SRBM); B789 VP-BDA plus upto 14 GA from Yeovilton! Quite bonkers.
Regarding the 789…many rumours abound re its future; only time will tell its true fate.

Nb….the 787 is parked on North Apron, beside one of the old Atlanta 744s.
