Cloudy here all day so no OTT, but LHR on 09 so made a couple on approach, D-AIUM my last Lufthansa A320 (for the time being) and TC-JOI A330, possibly a first visit.
Just gone overhead descending from FL410 (but above the cloud) was C-GWXZ Bombadier CS100, presumably a Paris exhibit. My luck with Nippon Cargo continues, todays was needed JA14KZ which was (a) above the cloud and (b) too far north to see even had it been clear!

Afternoon all. Another great day here. Very hot so have stayed at the apartment all day chilling out. Plenty more in the book although mainly OTTs as not that much charter traffic. Best so far today has been TU204 RA-64518 but lots of other goodies too. The A6 A7 and SU OTT traffic is phenomenal, they cross the north Crete coast about 10 miles east of here and all are clearly visible. Plane plotter and Plane finder are no use here but FR24 is excellent although I have missed a few biz that it doesn't show. Sitting on 221 pots after just four and a half days so am on target to beat 2013s total of 422.

Can anyone help please? A B762 is just about to pass OTT here in Crete about 30 miles east of the main airport at Heraklion. No registration or hex on FR24 showing but is squawking 2004. Timed at 1441 UK time. Thanks

You complain about the IL76, but I don't think there are that many about, certainly not in Europe. Volga Dniepr have 5 fairly new examples, RA-76503, 76511, 76950, 76951 and 76952 all of which I have seen in UK airspace, but apart from these I have seen only 2 in the last 10 years!
Cloud beginning to clear at last here, just made my first of the day N672PS IAI Galaxy heading E at FL390 trailing.

Dereks Cheers Dereks, Yeah I can't work out what's going on at Biggin... Was it a proper air show? I found it on the Biggin site earlier this week and it was saying the show was sold out!!! I've heard that once or twice elsewhere, but never Biggin Hill - they must have had a capacity placed on the number of tickets.... Bring back Jock, that's what I think... Thanks for responding. Bill

Many thanks Derek for the 767 reg. Another great day here, the missus went shopping so had the best part of the day on the balcony with the radar, bins and camera and have made 68. Polish changeover day today and most of their medium haul fleet has been into Kazantzakis. SP-HAB/C/D/F/H and I plus three Enter Airs. Almost certain now to beat 2013 total as have five more days yet. Old friend MD11 N435KD went ott earlier as did sister ship N545JN

Hi Jerry, I know Graham has spoken to the help desk and I'm pretty sure they are working on the issue. But as yet I'm afraid I don't know of any full resolution at this point. One question, have you been able to sign into any of the other 'proboard' sites? E.G Peter Brown's Blackbushe site. Cheers. Bill

There were 3 Spitfires & 2 Hurricanes. PZ865 & LF363 were the Hurricanes P7350, TE311 & AB910 are the Spitfires. Cheers Brizewatcher, Apologies for the miss-ID... They were a mile or so away from me when they flew past... I must have had a 'Germanic' spasm - DAS SPITFIRE...... Sorry that's a bad joke - still it was nice to see most of the BOBMF in the air, at the same time.... Thanks a lot. Bill

Hi Jerry. Yes Proboards are well aware of the iPad issue but seem to be taking a long time to resolve it. Pretty sure one of the Bobs uses his iPad without any problems so are you sure it's not a settings issue on yours?
Four days left in Crete, sitting on 397 pots to date so will hopefully break the 500 barrier and 2013s total of 422. Not much European charter stuff so far today, it's been mainly SU A6 A7 and 4X otts providing the entertainment and star pot so far today B737 EW-253PA Sent from my GT-I9505 using proboards

Good weekend for me. Think I made well over 400 from Sat- Mon.
Flew Gatwick to Prague-Ruzyne on Saturday morning , then onto Kbely for the Aero Expo event. This was slightly disappointing in terms of the exhibition, but well worth it for finally visiting Kbely museum. Quick look at the nearby Letnany airfield, then on Sunday the National Technical Museum followed by several hours at Prague-Ruzyne. Then flew to Paris-CDG and spent all Sunday evening there. Paris air show on Monday followed by the evening at CDG again before delayed flight back to Gatwick.
Will post logs when I can. The only annoyance of the trip was my camera breaking before entering Kbely museum. I've wanted to visit for years and had to use phone for snaps! Think I'll finally have to buy a new camera!
