Im on 10 so far, although its clouded over now, meant to clear later like last night, plenty of light aircraft buzzing around plus its ascot week, so the horse ferries and rich racegoers are very evident inbound farnborough

For those with iPad issues. I am using my iPad from Paris. Logged on no problem. Arrived yesterday and spent most of it at CDG. Today I have been to the show and tomorrow I will spend the day at Orly. Will post logs when I get back.

A couple of bad misses today - rare Aeroflot 777 VP-BGB deputising for the normal A330 on the lunchtime SU2578/9 (saw it on FR24 on departure just as it went out of sight) and N602FE MD-11F of FedEx inbound STN, again seen on FR24 a few minutes after it went overhead. This is my very last FedEx MD-11, have seen 190 of the 200 MD-11 frames built, and of the remaining 10 3 have been written off (N611FE, B-150 and HL7373) and 2 are stored in the desert so need just 5 active - the other 4 are with Skylease Cargo, which don't seem to visit Europe.

Hi Graham,
All sounds good stuff mate... Nice to fill gaps particularly if they aren't frequent UK visitors...
Thought today was supposed to be a corker - quite a lot of cloud at the moment and just missed TC-JSN coming out of LHR because of it!!!
Still North Weald is beckoning on Saturday... So looking forward to that. Anyone else making the trip? Small group of us should be there about 10am for the annual pilgrimage...
Cheers Graham, enjoy the rest of your time and have a safe journey home.
I'm off to Portugal (Algarve) for a week on July 5th... But on Sunday afternoon (21st) me and the misses are going to see Kylie in Hyde Park - don't ask, guests of Qantas!!!

HA-LYM Landed a bit earlier at LPL on Rw 27 making 5 for today. Likewise with me Jerry seen all the FDX MD11's apart from the two stored ones. Still need 5 UPS plus the Skylease and a couple of Nordic. Enjoy Guernsey Dave- I will have to make do with a trip to North Weald for the Air Britain Fly-in. Plus a few other places of course. Happy Days Bob Morning Bob, I certainly shall mate and I hope you and any other forum members who attend North Weald have a cracking day. Toulouse was awesome yesterday still drooling over some of the aircraft that we saw especially the ATR's (I'll get a log posted asap but as already said it will have to wait until after the weekend).

Have checked my I-pad settings, can't find anything which would prevent me logging in, but still can't. Graham, looking forward to your Crete logs.
Slow the last few days, nothing on Wednesday, HL8011 777 on LHR departure yesterday, VQ-BUU 744F today plus a few biz to tie up from squawks, not shown on PlaneFinders.

Morning all, back in Blighty again and had a superb time in Crete, weather unbelievably hot and with the wind blowing from the W or NW for the entire 11 days, everything inbound to Heraklion's Kazantzakis International passed over or very slightly to the north of our apartment. Daily logs and all details to follow, only downside was getting home this morning at 4.30am to discover that someone had taken the padlock and security strap off Caroline's hold bag, removed 200 Lambert & Butlers, then closed the case back up, minus the padlock which presumably was wrecked, and placed the strap back on the other way around, which is what she noticed when we got home. So, whoever you are you thieving bastard, I hope you enjoy the wifes fags.

Thanks Jeff, good to be back mate. Pretty much my thoughts too, we we able to check in and bag drop a good two hours prior to boarding in Crete, whereas when we landed at LGW, the bags were on the belt before we even got through passport control. Fags are cheap over there, 3 euros for 20 which is about £2.20 but no excuse whatsoever for a person who should hold a trustworthy job. I hope the bastard gets lung cancer at our expense.

Bob, glad you're safe matey, we got back to LGW at 1.30am yesterday, all had gone well with the return trip, hit the M23, found that the exit to the M25 west was closed for night works, so drove into Croydon, did a u-ey, went back down the M23, still no access to M25, had no option but to head east towards Dartford, came off at next junction, Caterham I think, did another u-ey and thak goodness was able to stay on the M25. Great - till we see signs telling us that the southbound slip to the M3 was closed for "night-time works" so we end up going to the M4 junction of the M25 and home via junction 14 at Hungerford. Usually do LGW in 90 mins, took almost two and three quarter hours and finally got home at 5.15am.
Was only when we unpacked that the missus found out her case had been broken into, the padlock removed, and 200 fags pinched. I hope the bastard who pinched them falls under a truck, not happy.......
