I nipped into the Bushe seeing as my meeting was cancelled. Seemed very quiet, a Twin Star buzzing around and a Robinson arrived as I was leaving. All usual residents but a lot less parked up than I've seen for a long time
Still potted four plus one query which I will post as and when I sort out the photos

Apologies Jeff, as said, I was suppoedly en route to Southampton then my appointment got cancelled. I was halfway to Blackbushe anyway at Bullington X so decided to nip in. Would be great to meet up though for sure

Graham..I was at Blackbushe today with Flyboy!!
I see the old Forum has been returned tonight, but for whatever reason my work alone seems to have been removed...Four years lost. I'll say no more - for now.
Keep up the excellent work Graham et al Peter B

What a shame Peter, I take it you and Stuart were supping warming beverages within the cafe?? I probably walked within a few feet of you. Bugger....would have been lovely to meet up at last.
Was it just me or was it quiet there today? Admittedly, I was only there for 45 mins but it did seem rather quiet compared to previous visits.
I'm sure your work is safe somewhere Peter, anyone who removed or deleted it for good must have a screw or five loose. I wonder why he's hiding it?
And Malcolm, please, introduce me to "Nellie" on my next visit...;0)

So near, yet so far...maybe next time. We witnessed "Nellie" on the move.
If you, or anyone, can help recover my four years of devoted application to the Blackbushe Pictures of the Past I would be eternally grateful. I have no idea why 'the other Forum' and it's leader should have taken four years of my retirement and snuffed it out in such a mean way. This work had included much of the work left by the late Gordon Wilmer, photos from many valuable sources and people, plus it carried my heart and soul.
I would like an answer to "WHY"....as today has added insult to injury. To have been hand picked, jumped on and thrown out with the garbage is the last way I thought my thread would end. But, that's what tonight's gloom is all about..the courtesy of an explanation would be the least all those who followed the thread might expect, but that would take spine and balls, all we have is ...nothing.
I remain sincerely yours, if not confused, dismayed, and very angry. Sorry to bring bad vibes to your wonderful Forum....
PB

We all feel very sorry for you Peter and can only hope that things can be sorted and resurrected given time, though technically I don't know if that's still possible
It's very frustrating that we cannot get to contact him..or the Proboards people....all avenues I've tried are blocked
I know it's no consolation but you are not on your own...all the BOH threads have been wiped...5 years of my photos logs and info.....and the worst thing is nobody can explain why
Keep your pecker up Peter, us oldies (I'm 72 years young) will come through

Thanks young Yorky
Suffering from shock earlier perhaps, but finding my feet again now!!
Hopefully your BOH thread was returned this evening? As you say, "we'll come through", perhaps to bigger and better things once the 'fog' has cleared!
Think it's time for a brew..tea, of course! PB

Peter, we are all 100% on your side sir, and if Tony has deleted your wonderful epic, then it's a massive work of vandalism. One can only assume that if this were to be the case, it must be along the lines of " I'll make sure nobody else gets their hands on it". So sad. As mentioned, I had started to copy and save it but what with work, regular domestic duties and the like, I only managed to save 5-6 pages before the plug was pulled. Having said that, those pages are safe in another locaton and are easy enough to copy over to here. It's your work, your photos, your experiences and your piece de resistance. How anyone can justifiably delete it, hide it, or whatever he's done with it, smacks of a serious character flaw, and if he's reading this, then please take my comments on board Tony although of course, it will always be everyone elses fault rather than yours.
So sorry to hear that the BOH threads have gone the same way John, makes you wonder about the psychological state of the person involved.

Seconded.
I can only think that perhaps he didn't like the fact that the "Blackbushe Pictures of the Past" thread was the most popular thing on there, more so than his lists of numbers from Farnborough.
Infuriating really, and the more so as Peter has now told us how he feels about it.

Just for the pure joy of it.. have a "Photo of the Day"... Can't let the old memories slip away...and I must keep in practice for the future!! It really does not seem that long ago that one could drive down the two mile stretch of the A30 that cut through the airport called Blackbushe - to behold sights like the one above.. Now they are just memories, golden ones, many of which are still safely down in the vaults where nobody except the spiders and I can touch them!! We'll be back, spiders et al... PB

Hi Peter great to see 'photo of the day' again after a traumatic week I as others have, tried to find a reason for the thread being dumped but can only observe as others have that it is the man's ego jealousy and spite. there I have had my say( free speech etc ) I also saved some of your work for my own viewing so just to cheer you up I believe this is vol 1 number 1 a click should enlarge the pic regards Eddie Attachment Deleted

Well said John, as well as Peter, you and Peter (Vine) must feel like you've been kicked in the teeth.
Despite the immense disappointment we all feel, rest assured we are in safe hands now with Graham at the helm.
There's nowt as queer as folk....
